Client: Greenchurch Developments
Location: Oswestry
Product Description: Morton & Jones were commissioned to supply and erect a variety of fencing styles in a range of heights at a prestigious new build care home located in Oswestry. Due to the site being adjacent to a busy supermarket car park 2.4m high acoustic fencing was specified for one boundary with close boarded feather edge being utilised on the other boundaries. M&J were also commissioned to construct a timber bin store/smoking shelter, which was constructed in a hit and miss timber style with a pitched ply roof clad in feather edge board. All of the timber was pre stained to the clients specified colour.
M&J were also commissioned to design, fabricate and install the decorative railing to the front wall of the development, M&J proposed a staggered ball design which presents a very decorative finish whilst still maintaining site security if required.
Site conditions were very challenging, the site was a former car showroom and every hole dug required additional break out to deal with the remains of the former building and concrete yard. In addition the site had been made up with 400mm of topsoil which had become waterlogged due to the continual heavy rain. Despite these difficulties M&J were able to complete all works on time and within budget.
Due to the excellent working relationship developed with the client M&J have since returned to site to carry out additional works including the provision of additional slabs and drainage and the manufacture and installation of a bespoke pergola.
